California Storm

California+Storm

In San Diego, extreme rainfall and flash flooding have occurred, causing schools and work facilities to close due to the state California was in. This intense rainfall has caused other problems in the city such as power outages and road shutdowns. Recently there has been lots of ‘weather havoc’ as people are calling it in many areas of the US during this past month. Floodings in California, downpours in Texas and Los Angeles, what’s next? As of today, the total rainfall over the past three days in San Diego comes to 4.49 inches. The Weather Service is working hard to alert people to drive safely and stay in their homes for the time being. How much more excessive rainfall will the US get?

Mia McKinnon
Mia McKinnon, HS Reporter
Hi, my name is Mia McKinnon and I'm an 11th grader at CSS. I decided to join journalism because I've always loved to read, write, and share the truth with others because I believe that people should know the full picture of everything, good or bad. I will do my best to provide that to the Conrad Howler. My pathway is Physical Therapy, and I enjoy reading about world issues and learning about how to solve them. I look forward to this year in journalism, it will give me and many others the joy and creativity to help people look through a different lens to see another side of the picture the world paints for us.
