Last Monday, the CDC issued a health advisory to urge people to get vaccinated against measles because of the large increase that has started this year. The main goal is to have children and international travelers get vaccinated. As of March 14th, the CDC has recorded a total of 58 cases of the disease across 17 jurisdictions. Most of the cases that have been reported this year already are from children who are 12 months and older who had not received the MMR (measles-mumps-rubella) vaccine.
