A historical and monumental water site that runs through 3 different states may be removed. This is a discussion that has raised awareness due to the harm this dam causes to water species. Due to migration and development of new life, fish need these waters to thrive as a population, and this hazardous dam is reducing reproduction and harming the freshwaters of the Brandywine. Though this is an issue, residents of Wilmington oppose this idea. They believe this would be a big change to their lives and love the fact that they get to experience this beautiful site every morning. They believe that the people in the area should have a say since it’s owned by the state of Delaware. Should the dam be removed or should sea life be forced to deal with the cautious environment?
