Rapper ASAP Rocky (Rakim Mayers) was being held in a Swedish jail for over two weeks, due to a street fight between ASAP and other fans in June. ASAP claims the fans were being disrespectful towards him and his entourage. President Donald Trump and the White House decided to take action and spoke out on ASAP’s behalf. Sweden’s courts do not have a bail system, therefore they decided to detain him because he is seen as having the resources to be a flight risk. Trump recently tweeted on August 2, 2019, “A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden. It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!”
