Increasing Gas Prices

Increasing Gas Prices

Pumping gas has been a process done by Americans for decades. Filling/Gas stations have been around since 1905 when the price for gas was 21 cents per gallon. Even though it seems like a low price, 21 cents would equal up to a little over $2. Currently, gasoline prices have risen 25% within the past 2 months, and 70% since Joe Biden became President. Only looking within the past 2 months the average gas price reached an all-time high of $4.33. One of the main reasons why our gas prices are increasing is because of the Russian vs. Ukraine war. The United States used to get gasoline imported from Russia, until President Biden banned all oil and gas from Russia on March 8th. Due to the demand market for gasoline, it caused the supply of gas to increase, making the prices higher.
