Are Horror Movies Losing Their Edge?

In recent years, horror movies have lost their scare factor. This is due to them being predictable with their scares. From just the suspense and moments to the over the top jumpscares. The most recent horror movies Smile and The Menu prove that horror movies lose their touch. Smile, used silence, jumpscares, and suspense. The Menu wasn’t even scary, it was more of a morbid movie with a message.
