Charlotte FC defender Anton Walkes passed away Wednesday afternoon. This is the result of injuries sustained from a boating accident in Florida. Walkes, twenty-five had just played his first full season with Charlotte FC of the MLS in an attempt to revive his once-promising career. Walkes began his career with the London club Tottenham and rose through their youth ranks. His loss deeply saddened the entire MLS and soccer fans all over the world, as he was only 25 and had a promising career ahead of him.
