OP-ED: Junior Burnout

OP-ED: Junior Burnout

As we approach the end of the 3rd marking period, many students feel a sense of relief because this means that there are only about 9 more weeks left of 2022-2023. For Juniors, this means that the hard work put into Junior year is almost over. Numerous juniors put their all into Junior year because it is very crucial for the college application process. As we prepare to apply to college in September-November, we have to cultivate the “perfect” resume for schools. This leads many to feel “junior burnout” after striving so hard to impress these schools, which changes forms into senioritis. This is the phenomenon that Seniors feel less desire and motivation to go to school because they are so close to the finish line.

Hi, my name is Julian Johnson. I have been at Conrad since 6th grade and I am currently in 11th grade. The pathway I chose is Biomed. I joined this class because it seemed very interesting. Some of my favorite news is anything related to the music industry, particularly rap or Hip/Hop.
