Effects of Gaming

Effects+of+Gaming

We all love gaming, but does gaming love you? According to Harvard health publishing, there are health risks in playing too many video games. Playing video games can lead to both mental and physical injuries. Playing too many video games can cause pain to your muscles and tendons where inflammation can develop.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is an example of gaming injuries, which many gamers have. Carpal tunnel most usually affects people who play on keyboard and most because of the overuse of the nerve in the wrist. “Gamers thumb” also known as “playstation thumb” most commonly affects people who play on controller because the overuse of your thumbs can cause the tendons in your thumb to become inflamed. These injuries can be very serious for most cases and lead to permanent damage.
