Many streaming services, such as Disney Plus and Netflix, come with removals of limited series shows, which are usually removed due to costs and the need for more viewership.
However, one particular show that Disney Plus removed received no explanation. The show, The Spectacular Spiderman, ran from 2008-2009; after getting canceled after two seasons, it was mysteriously pulled from the platform. The show focused on Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, with his life as he juggles high school and the pressure of being a neighborhood hero in New York. The show took inspiration from the classic comic books, revealing a classic Marvel art style for its animation.
While the show has been pulled, other pieces of Spiderman media are still found on Disney Plus, such as the Spiderman trilogy starring Tobey Maguire and the MCU Spiderman series starring Tom Holland. Some have speculated that Disney Plus removed the series due to licensing issues but not because of the character itself.
Spiderman is a character from Marvel, one of the franchises owned by the Walt Disney Company.
