On January 24th 2024, Javier Hernandez, also known as Chicharito, resigned a contract to his boyhood club Chivas located in Guadalajar México. Chicharito who was 35 years old, left his previous MLS Club LA Galaxy after his contract was close to expiring and hadn’t played for them since June after suffering an ACL injury putting him out of action for almost a year.
According to ESPN, Chicharito received multiple offers from teams in the MLS, Europe, and Saudi Arabia, but chose to return to where his career started in Guadalajara Mexico. He is expected to make his debut on March 2nd when Chivas play against Cruz Azul away.
