In period 6 September 13, 2024, I stopped by Mr. Frescoln’s class and asked what they were building. I asked two 6th grade students named Ahana and Stephanie to explain more about their class and they said their project right now is a robot. Ahana told me that they were making a robot with no instructions. Ahana said, “We are using gears to make the robots move faster and have more ability to move and the driveshaft has to be in a very particular position so it doesn’t interact with the wheel and makes it stop and it is very challenging because there’s no rules or instructions and we have to figure it ourselves.”. Building a robot for it to move faster definitely can be very challenging since it takes a lot of thinking and brainstorming to achieve their goal.
