At the Univerity of Delaware, researcher Daniel Harris has access to health records for nursing home residents. He is taking a closer look at the shingles vaccine and preventing dementia and stroke. Harris is looking specifically at neurological risks and studies to see pathways through neurons. There is nursing home data and also more people in the BA system. This study is being conducted in nursing homes and at trials from different settings. Harris says this will take about a year or more before there is any source of information to compare.
