Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, is a Puerto Rican rapper/singer. At the 2022 VMAs, he made history by being the first non-English performer to win the Artist of the Year Award. After performing one of his hit songs ‘Titi Me Pregunto’ from his latest album ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ at the Yankees Stadium in the Bronx, New York, he went on to say “Yo llevo diciendo y siempre creí desde el principio que yo podía llegar a ser grande, que yo podía llegar a ser uno de los estrellas más grande del mundo sin tener que cambiar mi cultura, mi lengua, mi idioma…¨ which translates to, “I have been saying and always believed from the beginning that I could become great, that I could become one of the greatest stars in the world without having to change my culture, my language…”. He also won 3 other awards that night, including Song of the Summer, Album of the Year, and Best Latin Video.
