Americans Wake Up to Record Colds

    Americans+Wake+Up+to+Record+Colds

Wednesday morning kicked off with November-like chills. More than 100 million citizens woke to frost advisories, freeze watches, and warnings. These are the coldest temperatures meteorologists have seen since spring, going 10 to 20 degrees below average. Because of the cold air mass plunging south before moving east, southern states got colder than the north. This breeze also caused the first snow of the season; across the Great Lakes and the Midwest. With Michigan getting 18 inches, this broke their record for the highest two-day snow in October. These temperatures are expected to return Friday and continue into next week.
